Study the Cover
1. On each one I enjoyed the cover image.
2. The masthead caught my eye.
3. The masthead is visible right off the bat, the coverlines are appealing, and the objects tie into exactly what the magazine is about.
4. The pictures are clear and there is a use of depth of field.
5. The font on each magazine differentiates. For example, the masthead is big and bold while the coverline is smaller.
6. One magazine is using all the conventions while one is missing a barcode.
7. In this moment, I plan on using all the conventions.
Study the Table of Contents
1. I like how the TOC displays pictures.
2. There is a use of complementary colors.
3. The pictures are displayed on top of the section headers and page numbers.
4. The pictures are clear.
5. The section headers are bold while the page numbers are smaller but still visible.
6. Both of them use all except for social media.

1. The two-page spreads use contrast and color schemes to make it appealing.

4. The pictures are big and clear and take up most of the page.
